Professor Musso Munyeme, Ph.D., MSc-VPH, B. Vet-Med, is a veterinarian, researcher, and Senior lecturer in Veterinary Public Health and Wildlife Medicine at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zambia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the One Health Coordinator of the World Bank Project, the Africa Centre of Excellence for Infectious Diseases of Humans and Animals (ACEIDHA<\/a>) as well as the One Health Coordinator and Country Multiplier for the project Capacitating One Health in Eastern and Southern Africa (COHESA<\/a>). Professor Munyeme has over 20 years of experience solving complex problems from a One Health perspective, considering animal, human, and environmental health interface. He is currently the Assistant Dean Research of at the School of Veterinary Medicine<\/a> and the immediate past head of the Department of Disease Control. His main research theme has been infectious bacterial diseases at the human\/livestock\/wildlife interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musso Munyeme has worked on national and international public health areas including food safety issues, bacterial zoonotic diseases, emerging and remerging infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Under various projects, he has helped to facilitate the One Health training in Zambia, the Southern African sub-region, and beyond.
