The GA is responsible for reviewing and adopting the initiative’s strategy and deliverables, which are developed based on proposals from the SC. The Secretariat supports these bodies and coordinates and implements the PREZODE initiative’s daily activities.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aims and Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The General Assembly (GA) is the body in charge of reviewing and adopting the orientations and deliverables prepared by the Steering Committee.
In particular, it will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

• Adopt the governance and its terms of reference,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Adopt the Strategic Agenda,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Adopt annual work plans and budgets,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Adopt other strategic orientations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Reviews the progress of the initiative and provides overall guidance,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Accept or exclude members as specified in the Membership section above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

  In addition, the GA will have the possibility to make proposals for new initiatives or complementary activities to be taken up and further elaborated by the Steering Committee.
  Finally, the GA will be in charge of electing its President and Vice-president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Composition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  The GA is composed of one representative for each member and is chaired by a President and a Vice-president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Roles of the President and Vice-president of the GA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  The President of the GA chairs meetings of the GA and is assisted by the Vice-president, who may stand in for the president if necessary.
  The President and Vice-president shall:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Advise, on behalf of the GA, the SC and the Secretariat on how the GA decisions should be implemented in between meetings of the GA;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Represent the PREZODE initiative in meetings of similar status, in bilateral and multilateral relations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Contribute to the prestige and influence of PREZODE in the international arena;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Facilitate connections to governments, regional and international organizations at the highest levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
