Dr Nitish Debnath is a veterinarian, trained in tropical veterinary medicine, virology, and One Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has broad experience in working with the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute<\/a>, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU<\/a>), Food and Agriculture Organizations of United Nations (FAO<\/a>), and Fleming Fund Country Grant to Bangladesh<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Nitish Debnath has worked as a <\/strong>Vice Chancellor, Dean, and Professor of Microbiology and Public Health of CVASU, and Senior Technical Advisor for One Health and Veterinary Education in FAO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past few years, Dr. Debnath has been working with the Fleming Fund Country Grant to Bangladesh DAI Global as Team Lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He relies on a vast network of professional experts of One Health: chairing One Health Bangladesh<\/a> since its inception in 2008, member of the One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP<\/a>), a member of the Technical Advisory Panel of N4H<\/a>, a member of the executive board of One Health Poultry Hub<\/a>, a former member of the governing board of the International Association For Ecology and Health (IAEH) and Council on International Veterinary Medical Education (CIVME<\/a>), former President of Bangladesh Veterinary Council<\/a> (BVC) and former alternate member of the governing board of Pandemic Fund as representative of Civil Society, South.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Nitish Debnath holds a degree of DVM from the Bangladesh Agricultural University<\/a>, an MSc in Tropical Veterinary Medicine from the University of Edinburgh<\/a>, and a Ph.D. in Virology from the University of Surrey<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
